(Active military or Veteran at least 18 and honorably discharged.) You must not have been convicted of a felony. Deferred Adjudication OK if over 10 years ago and you met requirements . (Excluding Family Violence) You must not have been adjudicated (as a minor) of having engaged in delinquent conduct violating felony-grade law within 10 years of the date of application No class A or B misdemeanors or disorderly conduct in the last 5 years. (Includes DWI) You must be fully qualified under Federal and State law to purchase a handgun. You must not have been finally determined to be delinquent in child support or taxes. (If you have a court approved payment plan you should be eligible.) You must not be currently restricted under a restraining order or protective order affecting the spousal relationship. You must not have made any material misrepresentation or failed to disclose any material fact in an application or request for application. You must not be a fugitive from justice.
